Nice Weekend

Had a pretty good weekend, though I didn’t really accomplish much of
anything. Andrea was busy most of the weekend working on some stuff for
her classes, which are wrapping up in a couple of weeks, so I spent most
of my time just playing CS and TA. I actually played a little HL
deathmatch as well, which was cool, since I don’t play that much
anymore. Getting in practice for the LAN parties once absinthexl
and docholoday are back.
On Friday night, Andrea, her dad, and I went to Parker’s Maple Barn for
dinner. It’s a great place for breakfast, but dinner there pretty much
sucked. I had stuffed chicken breast, which was tasty, but Andrea’s
dad’s food came out cold, and had to be sent back, and the service isn’t
too great. We were going to see Spider-Man after that, but decided
against it, and ended up just going home.
Saturday night we did end up going to see Spider-Man. I thought the
movie was great, one of the better movies I’ve seen in a while. I’d
write a review of it for moviereviews, but I’m not really sure
what to write. Maybe I’ll come up with something later. Once again,
however, I got stuck sitting in front of and next to morons. Why do
people with no intention of watching a movie go to a movie? Or at least,
why do they go to big opening movies? If you’re going to a movie just to
make out, why not go to something that’s been out for a couple weeks,
you’ll end up disturbing less people, and you’ll have more room to
yourselves.
Sunday I wandered into work to pickup a box that I was supposed to take
home on Friday to work on, and did some grocery shopping. The box, an
SV24, didn’t work as well as I had hoped. The other ones we have here
had no problem booting from a USB floppy drive, but this one had no
options to, and since I had no other devices I could connect to it, I
really couldn’t get very far with it. Rather disappointing really.
