Wow, I'm in in the old days, running my Heathkit HW-16 CW transmitter with a VFO to eliminate those pesky crystals. I'm using my Hammerlund HQ-110 Reciever and doing morse code on 80 meters band.

Sorry, I've never used the scheduled posts feature. Not sure why it wouldn't work, unless LJ XP is tying into something specific to pressing the publish button. Probably worth opening a bug for.

@Matt Yeah, the PLE300 is a single Ethernet port powerline adapter, the PLS300 is a 4 port switch and powerline adapter. They claim 200Mbps over it, though I've never properly tested it. I've done gaming over it and watch streaming HD movies both from Netflix and just over my local network, and it's always been fine. I should do some proper bandwidth testing over it sometime.

Very nice. Sounds like a good plan. Why the double Linksys in between the airport and the 360/Tivo? Is one the incoming powerline supply and the other the receiver on the other end? If so, good for you for avoiding the 360-wireless fiasco. Console gaming over WiFi is just plain wrong. What's the speed like over the powerline compared to regular network cable?

I'm glad for you buddy! I had figured the move was because of a split-up, but you hadn't mentioned it until now and I didn't want to infer.

It's really hard when the personal habits of people don't line up, even more so if it's a romantic relationship. I've had a roommate or two that just didn't quite mesh with my lifestyle as well. In general I'm a pretty clean person. I do the dishes, vacuum the rug and generally keep things tidy, more so now than earlier in life. At school I had a roommate that would make food for himself and then leave the dirty pots and pans there until they were needed to cook again, then they would clean just that single dish and reuse it. It was enough to drive me nuts.

I'm lucky that I found someone that shares both my sense of humor as well as many of my personal habits.

I'm glad you get some time for yourself, you deserve it. You've been working hard and everyone deserves to be happy.

...and now you can travel and come visit Texas :)
