Nice! I've been using a platoon of gmail addresses that I have for signing up for various websites and forums. I have them all dump to a single one and only check it if I've signed up for something and need any "activation email" they might send. Keeps my real inbox tidy and puts the burden on gmail to do the filtering, which they're not half bad at. Friends and family get the real email address, websites get my gmail.

Hmm - sounds like an interesting approach. I can see this working well for a quasi private zone, but a little tougher for one where there are multiple users. I wonder how easily this could be implemented with localpart extensions.

Neat idea, I'd use something like that for all the local parts with the exception of a single one which would allow any sender domain.

Cheers for mentioning HoSARC (Hall of Science Amateur Radio Club). Sorry the Satellite pass you witnessed was not successful. We did end up making a number of satellite contacts of a few different "birds" (satellites) on both days of the Faire. Satellites can be very hit or miss depending on the day/operating mode at the time they are passing over head. We will be posting a few notes on the Maker Faire as we prepare to send out our special edition QSL cards in the near future. Glad you enjoyed the day.

Agreed, despite the occasional annoyance, houses are 1000x better than apartment living. I'm glad we're in our house now, I'd never go back to an apartment, especially with rents going through the roof recently. My brother-in-law is paying nearly the same for his one room "studio" apartment as I did for a 3bdr a couple years ago.

We've had our fair share of issues (broken water-heater, replacing carpets, acid-kitchen debacle), but I'm so glad we're in a house. Glad you guys are enjoying it too!

We got quite a bit of stuff, some we bought, some we didn't. Bunch of posters, bunch of bags, a stack of comics, a CC-exclusive Hellboy doll, few shirts, a poster tube, and a bunch of stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting. We ended up having to buy a couple of shipping tubes to get a bunch of it back home (which the TSA apparently didn't like, as they held it for inspection.)

I'll have to get all the photos online soon. There's a whole camera-full that I haven't even looked at yet.

Very nice my friend, sounds like a heck of a trip! You get any cool schwag besides the water bottle and the DW bag? And you're going to have to get some photos up, I'd love to see what CC actually looks like (besides the typical "Booth Babe" galleries on the interwebs) :)
