Far too much geekiness going on

February 20th, 2004

So, I broke down yesterday and ordered the new Clié off of SonyStyle. It should ship early next week, so hopefully I’ll have it by next weekend. It probably wasn’t the best use of the money, but I’ve been in a toy buying mood recently, and I think that should take care of it for a while. I think I just need to convince myself that I’m broke again, so I stop spending money.

Speaking of which, I’ve found another thing that I’m considering buying, the Flash2Advance Ultra. It’s a GBA cartridge that you load ROM images into. They’re kindof expensive, but it would probably pay for itself in 3-4 games. Not terribly legal though, if I get ROM images for copyrighted games. (And if I don’t, what’s the point?)

Also, heading up north this weekend to the Loft to play console games and generally be a geek. Current plans include helping some people out with installing Linux onto various devices, and setting up an OpenMosix cluster to serve as an LTSP server. Should be a good time.

Don’t forget you need to set up Hindenburg space for a certain relative!

I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on that new Clie - I may consider one.
