Loft Weekend!
So, finally made it to up to the Loft this weekend. It’s like a geek paradise, computers and wiring and stuff all over the place. They’ve even got an old Asteroids arcade machine. Didn’t really do much in particular while I was up there. Played a bunch of Soul Calibur 2, working to unlock features because they lost their memory card, and beating the crap out of Loki and RavenFish. Also got to play a bunch of Cube games, includning Pac-Man Vs., which is nearly cool enough for me to run out and buy a Cube. Basically, it’s multiplayer PacMan, using a linked GBA to control PacMan, and the other players controlling ghosts on the TV. Whoever catches PacMan gets to trade with that player, and becomes PacMan. It’s great.
Ken also brought up his Firefly DVDs, which we spent some time watching on Saturday night. It was a lot better than I expected it to be. Kindof reminded me of a cross between Red Dwarf and Brisco County Jr. (am I the only one out there that still remembers that show?)
Also, maybe it’s just me, but Loki kindof sounds and acts a lot like Brodie from Mallrats. Weird.
