Vacation

Well, I’m back from my vacation in NYC. We got back yesterday, but I’ve
been a slacker about updating my journal. I meant to post an entry each
day of the trip, since I had my laptop with me, but as you can plainly
see, that didn’t happen. I don’t think I’m going to post an entry about
everything I did right now either, probably once I get my home computer
working again.
The day before we left on the trip, my IBM GXP60 stopped functioning as
a perfectly useful hard drive and began it’s new life as a perfectly
useful paperweight. This is less than ideal, but I had been expecting to
replace it with a WD 80GB drive for a bit now, and had just been
dragging my heals on it. Now I have to do the upgrade, and I need to buy
a new copy of WinXP to do it. I had been using on of Dave’s TechNet
licenses, but the sheet of keys has disappeared, so I’m on my own. Ah
well. Luckily I don’t keep much in the way of anything important on my
home computer, almost everything of value is either on my laptop or on
Hindenburg.
